Deliberate Practice Part 2

Get Specific with Your Goals and Find the Right Activities

Choosing a specific enough goal is a big challenge for most students but it is a really important step to help you see which activities will be the most helpful. The most specific the goal, the easier it will be to think of the perfect activity to do.

After listening to this episode, you should review your answers from yesterday and look for ways to be even MORE specific with your goals. Then look at the activities you wrote down and decide if you think you can be more specific with the activities as well.

Deliberate Practice Worksheet

Review your answers from yesterday and try to improve them to be MORE specific!

In the last lesson, you wrote down the type of activities you are currently to improve your English and started to create some goals with better ideas for activities.

Today, you should review your answers from the worksheet and see if you can be more specific with the goals AND the activities to make sure you are working on the right things.

Lastly, you can fill out an ‘action plan’ to create a step-by-step guide to do the activities to improve the skills you want to focus on.
