When Amara started, she was afraid to speak English. She worried about all the mistakes she was making and what other people thought about her English skills.

Although Amara wanted to focus on improving her speaking and reducing her mistakes, ee identified that low confidence was the main problem was low confidence.

Within only 4 weeks, we improved Amara’s confidence and she was no longer afraid to speak in English. This makes every interaction she has much more comfortable.

Our teachers know how to build your confidence quickly so that you can use your English in the real world without fear and to help you actually enjoy speaking in English 🙂

Real English Conversations is the best way to improve my English. When I first started studying English, I was a beginner student. Right now, I consider myself as an advanced student.

The methodology is really great. I can learn the most used words that native speakers use all the time so I can practice my pronunciation, increase my vocabulary, and plus I can practice with native speakers and other members of the community. It’s pretty good!

Real English Conversations it is not only about the podcast conversation lessons and the transcripts… but it’s about the larger platform, about being part of a cool community of people, the members where you learn and practice English in a lot of different ways.

And because I know I’m not alone in my English learning journey that keeps my motivation high. As a result, my English has been taken to a higher level. Now, I definitely feel more confident.

Meet Ashmed. He’s a university student that used REC to improve his speaking and learned to understand ‘everyday’ English once he arrived to the United States.
My name is Ashmed. I am from Egypt. I am currently doing my Ph.D in Infectious diseases at The University of Georgia, USA. When I first came to US, I had a hard time speaking and understanding what people are saying. The English that we have learned at school back in my country is completely different from the American spoken English. Even though I took an intensive English course and bought many books, it did not seem to help me speak naturally to native Americans because they just focused on the academic and formal English. Recently, I signed up for the Real English Conversation and I feel much more comfortable while speaking with native Americans.  Real English Conversation exposes me to American expressions, phrasal verbs, how to tell story and even to the American culture. Moreover, it uses the simplest way to study and practice new words and expressions by offering many examples. Now, I am able to express my thought, tell stories, use idioms and understand American way of speaking English much better. Thanks for the Real English Conversation for their smart way of teaching English and I am expecting more of them.

Hello my name is Airat and I’m from Russia. I’m a scientist. A few months ago, I got a new job and a new post involves a lot of business trips to the United States. At that time my English was terrible. I had to quickly catch up to speak fluent English. I spent a lot of time learning from textbooks but they have turned out to be useless to reach fluency. Then I came across Amy and Curtis’s site. Through their technique in two months I’ve improved my English from beginner to upper-intermediate level. I tried different courses but this site is my favorite. Over the time I’ve come up with my own way of learning which suits me best and that way based on techniques I learned from Amy and Curtis. A further advantage of this site is a very low subscription cost compared to other courses. Thank you guys for your work. I look forward to see new materials. Keep it up!

Alexey helps teach ‘Native English’ in his home with REC to teach his children about phrasal verbs
I wanted to tell you that my elder 6 year old son and I find your phrasal verbs podcasts very useful! We particularly appreciate it that each podcast gives sample sentences with both the phrasal verb in question and the alternative wording.  It appears to me that this makes it easier for the brain to retain the uses of a new phrasal verb, as the new phrasal verb gets linked in the brain not only to the context and the definition but also to the alternative way to get across the same meaning of the whole sentence.  Besides, the podcasts provide me and my son with excellent talking points for our English language developing conversations.  Basically, I try to make sure that my son makes out everything in a given podcast by us both talking it over what we hear and, maybe, coming up with our own sample sentences.

My wife and I are raising our 2 kids bilingual, yet English is not the first language for either of us.  We lived in the US for 8 years, and now we live in Russia.  While speaking 100% English with my both kids since their birth, I always try to make sure that our kids pick up natural expressions and wordings.  This becomes a challenge particularly now, as now we no longer live in an English speaking country.  To this end, I am always on a look-out for new sources of good vocabulary that would match the going level of my son’s English language.  Now it is the time for my son to get introduced to more phrasal verbs … and here you go! I found your great phrasal verbs podcasts!  Of course, the podcasts help myself brush up on phrasal verbs too. 🙂

I am Sarah. I am a college graduate from Cebu, Philippines. I understand the English language but every time I use it in a conversation I always get lost of words. I also have a problem with my accent and intonation. But after listening to your podcast, I was really motivated in mastering the language again. You speak clearly and fluently.

I would like to thank you on how wonderful you are in making English easy for me to learn. Through your videos and article, I slowly gain knowledge on different common words used in everyday conversation. You videos had been a great help. I hope to listen more of your podcast in the future.
